Client overview

Driver Work is the first specialized job portal for professional truck drivers in Europe. The platform connects qualified CE/ADR drivers — primarily from Ukraine, Moldova, Georgia, and Armenia — with verified transport employers across 50+ countries. Beyond job listings, it offers an AI-maintained legal documentation hub covering transportation laws in every EU member state, a social network for drivers, employer directories with subscription access, and a mobile app. The platform serves as a digital recruitment agency tailored entirely to the trucking industry.

Problem statement

Build a comprehensive digital ecosystem for truck drivers in Europe that goes beyond simple job boards — combining recruitment, community, legal guidance, and career tools in one place, while supporting drivers who navigate complex cross-border employment regulations across dozens of countries.

Context

Europe faces a chronic shortage of qualified truck drivers. Drivers from Eastern Europe and Central Asia seeking EU employment must navigate a maze of work permits, Code 95 certifications, residence requirements, and country-specific labor laws that change frequently. No single platform addressed all of these needs together — recruitment, regulatory guidance, community support, and employer verification.

Pain points
  • Fragmented information: drivers had to piece together legal requirements from dozens of government portals across different countries and languages
  • No industry-specific recruitment: general job boards lack specialized filters for license categories, ADR certifications, rotation systems, and fleet types
  • Regulatory complexity: work permits, Code 95 rules, and employment laws differ in every EU country and change frequently — stale guidance can cost drivers their jobs
  • Isolation: international truck drivers work alone for weeks at a time with no professional community or peer support network
Approach

We designed and built a multi-layered platform on WordPress with a heavily customized job board engine, WooCommerce for subscription management, and full nine-language localization across English, German, Ukrainian, Russian, Polish, French, Dutch, Danish, and Swedish.

We deployed a separate community site as a social network for drivers, with country-based groups, messaging, event management, and a blog that syndicates AI-generated legal articles. The community lets drivers share experiences, ask questions, and stay connected across borders.

We built an AI agent pipeline that continuously monitors transportation laws across EU member states, generates structured Q&A documentation for each country, and publishes updates daily. This ensures the legal guidance hub stays current as regulations change — something no manual editorial team could sustain at this scale.

Lessons learned
  • Building for a niche industry requires deep domain expertise — understanding CE/ADR licenses, Code 95 rules, and rotation systems was essential to delivering a product drivers actually trust

Scalability

The platform's WordPress architecture combined with AI documentation agents creates a scalable content flywheel: as new countries and regulations are added, the AI pipeline generates documentation automatically, the community grows organically through country groups, and the job board attracts more employers seeking access to an engaged driver audience — all without proportional increases in operational overhead
